The session

What it’s about.

An unhurried, hands-on session with Deepali. You'll start with hand-building — pinching and coiling — to get a feel for how clay behaves, then move to the wheel to learn centring and throwing a simple bowl or cup. Deepali keeps the group small so everyone gets time at the wheel and real feedback, not just a demonstration.

What you’ll do

  1. 1Getting to know clay: wedging, moisture, and why it cracks
  2. 2Hand-building: a pinch pot and a coil piece
  3. 3Wheel time: centring, opening and pulling up a small bowl or cup
  4. 4Trimming, finishing and signing your piece
